Abstract

Prediction of groundwater levels post monsoon for monsoon rainfalls is important to plan for management of of groundwater resources. The prediction can be made by using historical data through statistical and machine learning technique. In this paper statistical methods have been used to predict groundwater levels in response to monsoon rainfall. A close correlation was found for magnitude and water table fluctuation. This shows that modern methods like machine learning can be used to train data to predict ground water levels
