Abstract

India has practically the whole scope of tropical woodland, from dry deciduous to wet evergreen, yet shockingly little field-put together data exists with respect to the natural prerequisites at seed and seedling stages for most of individual or societies of species, which could be converted into plans for protection, upgrade and reclamation of organic variety. Situation of overhang control and its timing regardless of extra seed inputs, to suit seedling enlistment of species, especially those exhausting locally and those delivering refractory seeds, keeping in view the shade resistance/narrow mindedness condition for seedling development as well as germination, should be created based on explicitly planned field tests.
