Abstract

Over the last decade, affective computing and technology have grown in importance and play critical roles in comprehending human behavior. Emotion recognition is a growing field of study that can help in applications such as patient monitoring, driver fatigue detection, robotics, animation, forensics, medical aid, psychology, surveillance, the automotive industry, Human Robot Interaction for children with autism, situation analysis of social interaction, affective computing, feedback during E-Learning, psychology, contests, and the entertainment industries.
